That sounds like a cliche, doesn't it?
I first wrote The Portrait and Coming Home to Greenleigh back in the early 2000s. After a few attempts at publication, I put these manuscripts quietly away.
I only brought them out again when I began to write again. I wasn't writing romance anymore, however. Why? Well, perhaps I was a bit jaded and more than a bit burned out. Perhaps I thought there was no one out there who enjoyed a cozy romantic read that seemed it could happen right in your town, on your street, in your life.
I know now that this isn't true. There really are a lot of us old-fashioned romantics. And now we can find each other! So maybe the path to publishing has finally led somewhere.
